A longtime conservationist, Anthony is much more than a founder and managing director of America’s First Eco-Sustainable City. He is the CEO of The Pugliese Company, where he oversees a team of more than 135 people responsible for smart growth planning projects, with a focus on rezoning and planning for revitalizing previously underutilized land in urban areas. If anyone can recognize a project's potential for success it's Fred DeLuca, co-founder of Subway Restaurants. Fred borrowed $1,000 from a family friend to open his first sandwich shop and today - 29,310 franchises in 86 countries later - Subway is the largest, privately held franchise in the world. Due to this success and other investments, Forbes Magazine lists DeLuca as one of America's wealthiest people.

DeLuca teamed with Pugliese to purchase the more than 41,000 acres of land for the Destiny project and serves as a strategic partner on the development of city.
